MPD for information society

ITU leads global efforts to advance the use of mobile phone big data (MPD) to strengthen statistical systems and support evidence-based policymaking.

Through its Mobile Phone Big Data for Measuring the Information Society initiative, ITU develops methodologies and analytical tools to harness MPD for information society indicators, provides technical assistance and training to help countries integrate MPD into their statistical systems and collaborates with international experts to improve data timeliness, quality, and granularity for policymaking.
