The Regional Development Forum for Asia and the Pacific Region (RDF-ASP) took place on 19 March 2025 in Bangkok, Thailand. It was preceded by the 3rd Meeting of the APT Preparatory Group for WTDC-25 (APT WTDC25-3 on 17 and 18 March and followed by the Regional Preparatory Meeting for WTDC-25 for Asia and the Pacific (RPM-ASP) from 20 to 21 March.
RDF-ASP was organized at the kind invitation of the Office of The National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC) of Thailand.
The Regional Development Forum for Asia and the Pacific Region provided an opportunity for an exchange of views between ITU and decision-makers of ITU Member States and Sector Members, as well as other stakeholders in the Asia and the Pacific region.
RDF-ASP reported on the outcomes and implementation of the World Telecommunication Development Conference (WTDC-22), held in Kigali, Rwanda, in June 2022, and in particular the progress made in the realization of the Regional Initiatives for Asia and the Pacific approved by the WTDC-22.
RDF-ASP 2025 was open to all stakeholders willing to strengthen cooperation and partnership among telecommunication/ICT policymakers, regulators, industry, academia, regional and international development agencies, and organizations on specific regional telecommunication and ICT matters.
RDF-ASP was conducted as a paperless forum. Documents related to this event, including the agenda, presentations, and practical information with guidance on how to connect to the online platform, were made available through this web page.
