As a Summit for action, the GYS-25 served as a dynamic platform for dialogue among youth, stakeholders, and decision-makers. It focused on addressing the ICT needs and aspirations of young people to support their educational and socio-economic development, while exploring ways to ensure their meaningful participation in the digital economy, society, and environment. Whilst the youth are the most active online, the other generations possess experience that they could share to equip and inspire the youth.
The Summit produced an outcome report capturing youth perspectives, innovative ideas, and the challenges they face across different regions. This report is a valuable resource for policymakers, ITU Members, and stakeholders who may wish to align their national, regional, and global digital agendas, including using the report as input to the Regional Preparatory Meetings (RPMs) and the World Telecommunication Development Conference 2025 (WTDC-25).
