The 16th meeting of the Expert Group on Telecommunication/ICT Indicators (EGTI) will be held in Geneva, Switzerland, from 24 to 26 September 2025. This year the meeting is held back-to-back with the 13th meeting of the Expert Group on ICT Household Indicators (EGH) and the 20th World Telecommunication/ICT Indicators Symposium (WTIS-25).

The meetings aim to review subgroup contributions from the current work period and finalize the topics under discussion. The 2025 work programme includes the EGH subgroup on measuring the use of AI through household surveys, the EGTI subgroup on national greenhouse gas emission monitoring indicators, the Joint EGTI-EGH subgroup on the ICT Development Index, as well as several topics discussed on the online forums of EGH and EGTI. In addition, the meetings will identify topics for the 2026 work programme.

For the first time, the third day will feature a dedicated in-person workshop for practitioners. This hands-on session will offer EGTI and EGH members a unique opportunity to exchange experiences and share good practices in data collection, as well as to raise questions related to practical challenges.
