Daegu also introduced innovative ideas such as drive-through and walk-through locations to
collect samples for diagnostic tests and introduced the world's first “residential treatment centre”
to address the shortage of beds caused by the surge in confirmed cases and thus prevent the
collapse of the medical system.
Implementation of the seven coronavirus regulations helped to prevent the spread, and these
policies succeeded because of the voluntary participation by inhabitants.
