• Cabeólica is the main producer of renewable energy in Cape Verde and the largest off-setter
of greenhouse gas emissions in the country, significantly contributing towards the global
obligation to tackle climate change. Cabeólica has also been promoting environmental
awareness, particularly on the importance of renewable energy and the need for conservation
of local species through preventive and mitigation measures during project construction and
maintenance.
