Activities based on the word “cloud” each had one driver question on the topic. The
questionnaires had between six and ten questions each (see Annex 4). The brainstorming had
four driver questions to be answered individually by the participants without any limit on the
number of ideas they could come up with.
4 3 2 Analysis and interpretation of the information gathered from the Focus
Group
The Focus Group work aimed to gather specific information on national regulations and
Recommendation ITU-T L.1032. Based on the results, new strategies can be set up to strengthen
the capacity of managers in WEEE sustainable management, as well as on occupational health
and safety. If necessary, mechanisms to develop a companion activity to help micro and
small waste treatment enterprises managers to implement INTE G8 standard on Integrated
Management System for Micro, Small, and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs). Requirements
with guidance for use could be applied.
4.3.2.1 Occupational health and safety measures
Participants have a basic understanding of impacts on health due to materials recovered from
WEEE. The health effects most frequently mentioned are those produced by heavy metals in
blood; even poisoning was mentioned. Other effects were those related to respiratory problems
and allergies.
