The proposed system architecture includes the use of a CBC (Cell Broadcast Center) directly driven
by a SMART system. The architecture of the system can be summarized under the following diagram:

The various inputs, which could be either sensors or human operators, communicate with the
system through standard interfaces that operate in protocol CAP (Common Alerting Protocol) which
is based on XML and is used for the transmission of public warnings and emergencies.

In case of having non‐standard interfaces, conversion is performed on the SSB entity (Sensor Service
Bus) which facilitates communication to the SMART system from other systems that do not have
support of CAP.
