NoWforWTDC fireside discussions

The six fireside discussions (once a month) gave participants the chance to get inspiration from ITU’s work, know the processes and learn from other delegates as well as role models. Each fireside discussion was organized in coordination with the ITU Regional Offices to ensure members were engaged in shaping the discussion and programme.

The Network of Women (NoW) encourages gender balance in the activities leading up to the World Telecommunication Development Conference, WTDC.

  1. build, in the medium and long term, a community where female delegates support each other, expand their network, advocate and share experience and knowledge;
  2. promote the active participation of women in the activities of ITU and the sector in general;
  3. give visibility to women and empower them for larger responsibilities in their respective delegations, at WTDC and in future similar platforms;
