Council Working Group - MBG: Management and

Pursuant to
Resolution 155 (Antalya, 2006)
,
the Extraordinary Session of Council in Antalya established the
Management and Budget Group of the Council (“MBG”).
The Council, at its
2007 ordinary session, resolved to establish the MBG with the
composition and work methods as set forth in
Annex to Resolution 1273. |

Background Information |

Terms of Reference
To provide advice and guidance to the elected officials
regarding the implementation of the strategic and operational plans,
biennial budgets, the decisions of Council, the completion of
projects detailed in Resolution 1243
and Results Based Management.

Composition & participation
The
MBG is open to all Member States of Council. In plenary, it will
decide on the need to establish ad-hoc group(s) open to all Member States of Council to work
with the elected officials and/or their representatives; participation of
delegates with expertise in the specific matters under discussion in any such
group(s) is encouraged.
Observer Member States of Council may attend plenary meetings of the MBG, on the basis of the application of the
relevant texts, including the Rules of Procedure and Decisions of Council, with
respect to participation of Observer Member States.

Chairmanship
The Group is chaired by the vice-Chairman of Council,
Mr. R.N. Jha (India).
H.E. Mr. Haruna Iddrisu (Ghana),
Chairman of Council, is vice-Chairman
of the Group.
