ITU AND THE UNITED FRAMEWORK CONVENTION ON CLIMATE CHANGE

Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) are instrumental to implement the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) and to enable sustainable development:
  • by providing tools for climate monitoring;
  • by driving down emissions in the ICT sector;
  • by reducing the carbon footprint of several sectors;
  • by assisting countries to adapt to the impacts of climate change.
