Title DTTB Frequency Planning for Additional Sites (Thailand)
Description The National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC) of Thailand has its mandate to ensure Digital Terrestrial TV Broadcasting (DTTB) services and coverage in Thailand. The International Telecommunication Union (ITU), pursuant to the outcomes of WTDC-14, is also mandated to assist its Member States and regulators in smooth transition from analogue to digital terrestrial TV broadcasting. Considering the above and in order for Thailand to achieve the DTTB coverage targets, ITU and NBTC are implementing this project on developing a frequency plan (FP) for additional DTTB sites in Thailand. The primary expected results of this project are:
Frequency plan for additional DTTB sites based on a review of the existing planning methodology and network deployment;
Enhanced skills of the staff from the Office of NBTC and other relevant stakeholders on planning for additional DTTB sites.
