Coding Camps and ICT training for Young Girls in Africa - Phase 1

Internet Communication Technology (ICT) is key to women’s empowerment; the sustenance of
a healthy job market; and is vital to the economic growth of Africa. To this end, African Girls Can CODE
Initiative will be implemented by UN Women in collaboration with the African Union Commission and International Telecommunication Union (ITU) and is designed to expose and equip young girls with digital literacy, CODING and personal development skills. This project will contribute to the realization of
AGCCI objectives through trainings on coding for young girls in Africa continent.
