| Description |
Within the implementation of the expected results of the ITU Arab Regional Initiative on developing digital infrastructure for smart sustainable cities and communities, this project aims at creating and promoting an enabling environment to foster innovation by developing an evaluation framework and methodology to support the Government of Egypt’s efforts in Smart Sustainable Cities & Communities (SSC&C). This is expected to drive sustainable urbanization policies that enable growth and at the same time create an urban development process able to cope with the challenges of the coming years – such as climate change, increasing demands on urban infrastructure, pollution, and rapid population growth. |
