The overall objective is to promote human capacity building of governmental authorities, regulators, and senior managers of operators and service providers. |

| Achievements |
In 2009, the network of centres of excellence was created with 6 institutions which started implementation of training activities in the framework of the main themes defined in the project document, namely Policy and Regulation, Business and Management, New Technologies and Services, Universal Access and Rural ICT Development. The results of the project included the following: ITU Academy platform was available to all training programs and events organized by centers and ITU also provided a platform for benchmarking and the sharing best practices. Overall the project achieved its objective to build human capacity in Africa Region. |
