Title School Connectivity in Five ITU Member States
Description This project will promote school connectivity in five developing countries, equip and connect classrooms in primary or secondary schools, including installation, teacher training on the use of computers and basic software. Each beneficiary country will provide internet connectivity and electricity for one year, ensure maintenance for all equipment, procure paper and printer cartridges and ensure teachers participate in training in how to use the equipment and software.

Achievements

The project equipped and connected classrooms in the selected schools in five beneficiary countries, including installation and teacher training on the use of computers and basic software.
The project achieved the following main results:
 • 25 Schools in Sri Lanka
 • 20 Schools in Lesotho
 • 20 Schools in Sierra Leone
 • 10 Schools in Tanzania
 •   5 Schools Comoros
