Description "Provision of a stable electric power supply for telecommunication/ICT facilities in rural and remote areas" was identified as one of the Regional Initiatives by Resolution 17 adopted during the World Telecommunications Development Conference held in Hyderabad in 2010. Within this framework the project aims to identify effective means of supplying electric power for telecommunication/ICT infrastructure facilities in rural and remote areas using alternative energy sources (solar, wind, etc.).
