| Description |
Promoting development of small island communities is of critical importance in fulfilling the UN Sustainable Development Goals in the Asia Pacific region. Pacific Island countries aim to bring the benefits of the digital transformation to its citizens adopting a whole of government and Smart Islands approach. The project aims to provide assistance to three Pacific Islands countries (Fiji, Papua New Guinea and Vanuatu) on Smart Islands, which is aimed at providing affordable and sustainable access to digital networks and services to communities in islands. |

- Min. 3 countries assisted in developing Smart Islands Programme for identified Smart Islands - 5,000 people impacted through improved connectivity and/or digital services - Min. 3 case studies and reports conducted - Min. 500 participants in the three identified countries enhanced awareness & min. 200 participants enhanced skills (out of which women 50%, youth 30%) - Min. 2 digital services in each beneficiary country delivered
