Question 21/1: Impact of telecommunication development on the
creation of employment
The next meeting of Rapporteur’s Group on Question 21/1 will be organized in
Cairo, Egypt, on 5 March 2009. This meeting will be organized in conjunction
with the 7th ITU World Telecommunication/ICT Indicators (WTI) Meeting to be held
3-5 March 2009.
In the morning of 5 March, participants of the Rapporteur's Group on
Question 21/1 will have the opportunity to participate in a joint session of the
RGQ/WTI meeting dedicated to the measurement of the impact of telecommunication
development on the creation of employment. Organized in the form of a panel,
participants from both meetings will be able to interact with a group of
renowned specialists in the field of employment in the telecommunication sector,
thus providing useful input to the work of the Rapporteur’s Group on this
subject.
In the afternoon of 5 March, the regular session of the Rapporteur’s Group
meeting will be held. The objective of the afternoon session is to make progress
and possibly finalize the Report on Question 21/1. Information and documents on
