If the last 20 years have taught us anything, it’s that no single actor can shape the digital society alone. Delivering on the vision of a people-centred, inclusive, and development-oriented information society requires coordinated leadership across governments, the private sector, civil society, the technical community, and academia. Whether it’s by drafting policies or enabling regulatory environments that drive innovation, protect human rights, and mobilize investment in digital infrastructure, the next few years will be critical for leveraging multistakeholder leaders for their unique contributions. To be sure, the challenges ahead are as interconnected as they are urgent. Join this session as we bring together leaders from across the stakeholder spectrum to explore what effective digital governance looks like in practice. Above all, what is clear is that shared accountability is needed to ensure that the benefits of digital transformation are shared equally, and that no one is left behind.
