Join us as we explore today’s rapidly evolving landscape of late-life employment and retirement and discover why reframing retirement is essential to better meet the needs of individuals, organisations and society as a whole.

In this session we will cover the following focus areas:

  1. The current reality of late-life employment and retirement:
    • Explore the challenges and complexities faced by individuals transitioning into late-life employment and retirement.
    • Highlight statistics and trends that illustrate the impact of traditional retirement approaches.
  2. Why we need to reframe the concept itself:
    • Discuss the urgent need to reimagine retirement as a holistic and preventive process.
    • Emphasise the benefits of proactive retirement planning for well-being and societal health.
  3. Who needs to be involved:
    • Who are the stakeholders playing a pivotal role in reshaping retirement paradigms and what do they stand to gain.
  4. How do we move forward:
    • Showcase an AgeTech solution that can facilitate the transition to a more inclusive and sustainable late-life employment and retirement model.
    • Highlight best practices and initiatives driving positive change in this space.

We will be joined by representatives from the Global Initiative on Ageing, AXA Switzerland, IRIC (Institutional Retirement Income Council) and a Swiss National Parliamentarian, to share their views and experience on their role in enabling more healthy, active and socially included ageing.

Kevin Crain is an accomplished and highly respected Retirement Services and Financial Wellness Expert with more than 40 years of experience in roles of progressively greater influence and impact in the Retirement Services industry, driving strategic growth, enhancing client engagement, and delivering top-tier retirement research solutions.

The former Chair of the Age Friendly NYC Commission, Kevin is currently an Advisory Council Member with the Global Coalition on Aging Advisory Council and a Visiting Executive for the Gerontological Society of America. He is also an Honorary Member of the Defined Contribution Institutional Investment Association (DCIIA) and Member of their Public Policy committee.

Until August 2023, Kevin was with Bank of America Merrill Lynch for nearly 20 years in senior leadership positions in the Retirement Services sector, culminating in the role of Head of Retirement Research, leading a team of thought leaders and public policy experts focused on retirement and longevity research.
