Crises like the COVID-19 pandemic put communities and people under increased pressure. It has created a global crisis for mental health, fueling short- and long-term stresses and undermining the mental health of millions. Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) are tools to improve the quality and health of lives, including happiness and the promotion of well-being for all ages. Mobile applications (apps) that are helping to provide care and assistance for those suffering from anxiety, depression or other mental health disorders. New digital opportunities can make our lives easier, more efficient, and more joyful. ICTs are thought to have a positive impact on happiness, for example by facilitating the building and practice of skills such as gratitude or mindfulness. ICTs also proved to be crucial during the pandemic, as they helped us stay connected. It is estimated that 1.6 billion people could benefit from digital health by 2030.

This event will be supported by WHO and will bring together experts from government, international organization, academia, and partners to celebrate the World Mental Health Day and emphasize the significant role that ICTs and digital innovation can play for maintaining people’s mental health during the Covid-19 Pandemic and enhancing the collaboration among global community.
