Session 295

12:00–13:00 (UTC+02:00), Tuesday, 6 April 2021 Thematic Workshop

"Perspectives on key humanitarian concepts, how can ICT foster the debate?"

Essential to identifying commonalities and divergences in the way humanitarians communicate key concepts is to identify variations in concepts and their meanings across geographic regions and organization. This workshop seeks to discuss a small set of key concepts from the Humanitarian Encyclopedia’s list of 129 concepts, identified in a participatory process and validated by global experts. From this discussion we will showcase how can an online platform help foster the debate through the use of the forum section of the Humanitarian Encyclopedia platform.
