 Consultation Meeting of WSIS Action Lines Moderators/Facilitators on 24 February 2006
 

In line with para 108-109 of the Tunis Agenda for the Information Society, ITU, UNESCO and UNDP organised a consultation meeting of WSIS Action Line Moderators/Facilitators, in Geneva, on 24 February 2006, in the UN Palais des Nations, Room XXI (21). The meeting ran from 10.00 – 13.00 and from 15.00 – 18.00 hours. The meeting was open to all WSIS stakeholders that are interested in contributing to the multi-stakeholder teams for the action lines and in particular acting as facilitators/moderators for WSIS Action Lines.

The purpose of the meeting was to strengthen synergies across the action lines and address cross-cutting and work towards the finalization of the list of moderators/facilitators for the different WSIS Action Lines, as set out in the Annex of the Tunis Agenda. The consultation meeting discussed the nature of the coordination processes and the expected outputs and the modalities and logistics of the work to be undertaken on WSIS implementation.

A virtual consultation process launched prior to the meeting seek to maximize inclusion, discuss expectations and potentially to secure inputs on the broad priority areas of focus for the teams.
