thereby providing technical support and a demonstrative effect for technological innovation
and sustainable development in the healthcare industry.
ChatZOC can remotely provide high-quality ophthalmic medical services, overcoming
geographical and resource limitations, allowing patients in remote and resource-poor areas
to access quality healthcare. This helps narrow the healthcare service gap between urban and
rural areas and reduces healthcare inequalities.
23 Future Work
a Data Collection
Continuously expand and optimize ophthalmic medical datasets to encompass clinical data
from diverse regions, age groups, and various eye diseases, ensuring data comprehensiveness
and representativeness. Strengthen collaboration with international ophthalmic medical
institutions to acquire diverse global data, enhancing the model’ s applicability and accuracy
among different populations and scenarios.
b Proof of Concept Development
In the future, clinical scenarios will be validated, to simulate real clinical consultation, screening
and treatment scenarios. Multimodal diagnostic integration will be conducted by combining
ophthalmic imaging data, such as fundus images and OCT scans.
c Model Development
Based on the existing ChatZOC ophthalmology large model, We will optimize the ChatZOC
ophthalmology model to enhance its reasoning and clinical decision support, focusing on
complex cases and rare diseases. A lightweight version will also be developed for deployment
in resource-limited areas and on mobile devices.
d Create New Variations/Extensions to the Same Use Case
Building on core functions such as intelligent consultations, precise screening, and diagnostic
assistance, we aim to explore additional application scenarios, including remote surgical
guidance, personalized treatment recommendations, and patient health management.
Furthermore, we plan to expand into other subspecialties, such as pediatric ophthalmology
and geriatric ophthalmology, to meet the specific demands of diverse patient groups.
e Standards Development Related to the Use Case
In the future, efforts will be made to establish industry standards and technical guidelines
for AI-assisted ophthalmic diagnosis and treatment, ensuring that ChatZOC’s diagnostic
recommendations, data utilization, and result presentation align with international standards.
Legal and regulatory requirements regarding patient data privacy and model usage security
will be clearly defined, along with the establishment of a robust safety review mechanism for
AI models to ensure safety and reliability in clinical use.
