Mr. Stephen M. Blust, P.E., Chairman of ITU-R Working Party 5D and Director of Radio Access Network Standards at AT&T recently received the “AT&T Fellows Honor” award the top technical honor in AT&T. He joins an elite group of less than 70 recipients across the history of the company and the award. An AT&T Fellows Honor is bestowed on individuals in AT&T's technical community who have made sustained and notable contributions across their career through scientific and technical achievements that have significant impact to AT&T's business and to industry. The nomination and award noted Blust’s ambition and courage to achieve exceptional results, his outstanding leadership, his extraordinary contributions in advancing mobile wireless communications, and his long-standing role in ITU-R and other industry bodies as a global visionary and thought leader.
Receiving this award also confirms the strong commitment of ITU-R and in particular WP 5D (led by the management team) in driving forward the development of IMT.
