This contribution highlights the findings and work undertaken by Ofcom, the independent communications regulator, since the introduction of the UK's Telecom Security Act 2021 (TSA). It outlines the advancement in security practices of public telecom providers, where improvements can still be achieved, particularly in relation to supply side threats, and how supervisory practices are developing as the regulatory regime matures. Threats outside of cyber have also been considered and has resulted in guidance issued by Ofcom.
