Artificial intelligence (AI) is reshaping the global development landscape, yet the convergence of the AI divide and the digital divide risks marginalizing developing countries in the new round of technological revolution. Since its establishment, the China-BRICS Artificial Intelligence Development and Cooperation Center (hereinafter "the Center") has carried out practical cooperation in policy dialogue, governance coordination, public goods provision, industrial empowerment, skills development and partnership building, translating cooperative outcomes into accessible, usable and affordable development resources for BRICS countries and other developing countries. This contribution presents these practices and offers proposals for deepening international cooperation under the ITU framework, with a view to making AI an international public good that benefits all humanity and advancing the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
