This document provides an update on ITU activities in implementing the outcomes of the World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS), including key mechanisms such as the WSIS Action Lines, WSIS Forum, the United Nations Group on the Information Society (UNGIS), the WSIS Stocktaking Platform, and the WSIS Prizes. It also summarizes the outcomes of the WSIS+20 High-level Meeting of the United Nations General Assembly (December 2025), which reaffirmed WSIS as the central United Nations framework for inclusive digital development and renewed the mandate for ITU in supporting its implementation. The document invites the ITU-D Study Groups, Member States and stakeholders to engage in upcoming WSIS activities, including the WSIS Forum 2026 Open Consultation Process, participation in the WSIS Stocktaking and WSIS Prizes, and contributions to the WSIS Fund in Trust, and encourages continued collaboration with ITU in advancing WSIS implementation.
