This contribution proposes modifications to the Asia-Pacific regional initiatives (ASPs), considering new and emerging technologies and their transformative potential. It also proposes a new regional initiative to provide impetus to the growing digital innovation ecosystem, including start-ups, small, medium, and micro enterprises (SMMEs), and academic innovation hubs. This proposal aligns with the strategic vision of the ITU, considering the recently established ITU Innovation Center, hosted in India.
