Abstracto :

This contribution proposes a new informative appendix to draft Recommendation ITU-T L.CU_AI (Guidelines for circular utilization of artificial intelligence computing power resources), presenting an operator use case based on Meta's experience of reusing server memory modules (DIMMs) at scale. It summarizes a staged framework (Hack, Pilot, Scale) with go/no-go gates on security, reliability, total cost of ownership and customer demand, as applied to the qualification, traceability, redeployment and production monitoring of reused DIMMs. Q7/5 is invited to consider the text for inclusion and to refine it during the ongoing rapporteur work, noting that its qualification evidence may also inform draft Recommendation ITU-T L.QA_AI.
