Abstracto :

This contribution proposes a new ITU-T Recommendation ITU-T L.PVESS. It defines system architectures, capacity-sizing methods, coordinated dispatch strategies, verification procedures and performance-evaluation requirements for integrated photovoltaic, energy storage and backup power systems at telecommunication base station sites. The Recommendation covers AC-coupled and DC-coupled PV-ESS systems for new-site planning, capacity expansion and retrofits of existing base stations. It considers site load, solar resources, electricity tariffs, grid-connection conditions and backup-power requirements, with objectives to improve life-cycle economic performance, lower site operating costs and increase renewable-energy utilization for telecom base stations.
