Abstracto :

The Republic of Niger is undergoing a profound digital transformation, anchored in the Programme for the Refondation of the Republic (PRR) 2025-2029 and the soon to be adopted National Policy for Digital Development 2025-2035. Our vision is clear: by 2035, 85% of Nigerien citizens will access public services online through a unique, sovereign and inclusive digital identity.
This ambition is pursued in a challenging context: a predominantly young population (70% under 25), low connectivity rates (~20%), vast rural and nomadic areas, and the need to build national digital capacities from the ground up.
In this context, Niger aligns fully with the Baku Action Plan and the Baku Declaration. We see ITU-D as an essential partner to help translate global commitments into tangible results for our people, particularly in least developed countries (LDCs), landlocked developing countries (LLDCs), and fragile contexts.
