Abstracto :

This contribution documents Ghana's regulatory practice on climate-relevant ICT matters and the National Communications Authority's (NCA) leadership of a dedicated telecommunications-sector decarbonization programme being developed for Ghana's forthcoming NDC update. It presents a real, sector-wide GHG baseline (~650 000 tCO?e, 2024) compiled from multi-operator data, the targets and institutional arrangement built around it, the data-quality lessons learned in compiling it, and proposes engagement with ITU-T's ICT-sector GHG standardization work (Recommendation L.1472, the EGTI GHG sub-group, and Recommendations L.1470/L.1471) for Question 2/2 Tasks T3, T6 and T7.
