Ghana links telecommunications equipment regulation to environmental sustainability through the Hazardous and Electronic Waste Control and Management Act, 2016 (Act 917) and the equipment certification and marking regime under the Electronic Communications Act, 2008 (Act 775). This contribution documents Ghana's current legal architecture for embedding circular-economy principles at the point of market entry, the practical challenges of informal e-waste processing and imports, and regulatory actions proposed for Question 2/2 Tasks T8 and T9.
