Abstracto :

This contribution presents the main outcomes of the ITU Policy and Economic Colloquium (IPEC?25), with a focus on Session 4 on ITU?D Question 4/1: Economic aspects of national telecommunications/ICTs - Costing and tariff?policy issues. The detailed outcomes are provided in the annex, which includes case studies from: Costa Rica on infrastructure sharing; Paraguay on mobile money; Uruguay on cost issues and tariff policies for interconnection services; and the ECTEL regulatory association on pricing trends for telecommunications and ICT services, as well as their potential impact on perceptions of the affordability gap in the Eastern Caribbean.
