Abstracto :

In order to enhance the role of acceleration centres under the ITU initiative of Innovation and Entrepreneurship Alliance for Digital Development, the following suggestions are proposed:
1) that each Acceleration Centre should take full account of ITU's strategic objectives and ITU-D priority and regional initiatives during the operational design phase, and promote the coherence of the Acceleration Centre's work with ITU, particularly in promoting digital transformation.
2) Strengthen coordination and cooperation with regional offices and encourage acceleration centers to play a greater role in capacity building, forward-looking research, hosting ICT development and best practice sharing seminars, and implementation of regional initiatives and relative projects.
3) The Acceleration Centre should focus on the digital development needs of Member States in the region, in particular LDCs, landlocked developing countries (LLDCs) and small island developing States (SIDS), in order to provide them with better services.
