Abstracto :

Samoa is committed to advancing digital transformation, enhancing ICT infrastructure, and strengthening cybersecurity to ensure sustainable development and resilience. As a Small Island Developing State (SIDS), Samoa faces unique challenges in connectivity, capacity building, and disaster resilience, which require regional cooperation and ITU support.
Expected results:
ITU's assistance in developing innovative financing mechanisms to support ICT infrastructure projects in remote and underserved areas.
Establishment of capacity-building programs for digital skills, focusing on youth, women, and rural communities.
ITU-backed initiatives for AI-driven disaster management and ICT resilience against climate change impacts.
Priorities in the Lagatoi Declaration which Samoa is the chair for the Ministerial Dialogue:
