Abstracto :

In accordance with General Secretariat Circular DM-21/1010 from 15 April 2021, Secretary-General of ITU received a letter from the Ministry of Innovation and Technology of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, the host country for the World Telecommunication Development Conference 2021 (WTDC-21), proposing to postpone the WTDC-21 to 6-15 June 2022. By this Circular, the Secretary-General has begun a process of consultation by correspondence with Member States on the change of dates WTDC-21, replies from which should be received prior to TDAG-21 (no later than 7 May 2021).
The possible change of dates of the WTDC-21 raises the question of the continuation of the work of the Telecommunication Development Sector (ITU-D), in particular the continuation of the study groups (SGs) work.
By this contribution the Russian Federation proposes an action plan for the continuation of the ITU-D SGs work due to the possible postponement of the WTDC-21.
