Abstract :

Summary
As per PP Resolution 57 (Kyoto, 1994) on Joint Inspection Unit, the Secretary-General submits to the Council report of the JIU having a bearing on the Union, together with comments he considers appropriate.
In accordance with Article II, paragraph 4(c) of the Joint Inspection Unit (JIU) statute, this document contains the letter and annex received from the JIU on 17 March 2016, transmitting to the Secretary-General the final version in English of report JIU/REP/2016/1 entitled "Review of management and administration in the International Telecommunication Union (ITU)".
A separate report to Council will indicate Secretary-General's initial response to Recommendations 1 to 11.
