Abstract :

This document provides for information a list of responsible persons for specific coordination roles in ITU-D Study Group 2. These responsible persons are primarily the vice-chairs of ITU-D Study Group 2, in conformance with provision 3.2.3 of WTDC Resolution 1 (Rev Baku, 2025):
"3.2.3 (.) In order to better guarantee fulfilment of the workload involved in the management of meetings, at the beginning of the study period, each vice-chair should be assigned specific functions by the chair, after consultation with the study group vice-chair, including to assist the chair and study groups as they produce the outputs called for by WTDC, including as indicated in § 3.3.7 below. Vice-chairs could be designated by chairs as coordinators on specific topics or as focal points for monitoring other programmes and sectors. Functions of the vice-chairs should be defined at the beginning of the study period."
These roles were assigned following an expression of interest of the SG2 vice-chairs. When a role could not be filled by any SG2 vice-chair, additional members, such as rapporteurs and vice-rapporteurs, may be invited to fill the role.
The roles broadly cover both coordination and improving study group outcomes.
