Abstract :

This document expresses a position shared by multiple Member States on the importance of remote participation within ITU meetings, including the World Telecommunication Development Conference.
It asks for the Telecommunication Development Bureau (BDT) Director to (1) provide an update to TDAG-25 on the status of ongoing logistical preparations for WTDC-25, including the possibility of remote participation at WTDC-25, (2) provide an indicative timeline by which the feasibility and potential scale of remote participation options will be known, and (3) include information on remote participation arrangements, including the limited rights for remote participants under the anticipated guidelines on the management of fully virtual and physical meetings with remote participation at ITU in line with the implementation of Resolution 167 presented for approval by the Council of ITU in its next June session, within further circulars and communiqu?s to ITU-D Members relating to WTDC-25.
