Abstract :

The adoption by the World Telecommunication Standardization Assembly (WTSA) in 2024 of a new Resolution on promoting and strengthening metaverse standardization, as well as the results of the work of ITU Telecommunication Standardization Sector (ITU-T) Focus Group on the Metaverse (FG MV) determine the need to consider the implementation issues of metaverse, as well as taking into account regional and national aspects related to it. In this regard, it is proposed to activate activities related to metaverse in the ITU Telecommunication Development Sector (ITU-D), for which it is proposed to create a new Resolution.
