Abstract :

To strengthen the preparedness and response capacity of Arab Region countries by supporting the development of National Emergency Telecommunications Plans (NETPs), deploying Multi-Hazard Early Warning Systems (MHEWS) and Mobile Cell Broadcast Early Warning Systems (EWS), and leveraging portable affordable satellite broadband solutions and low-earth orbit (LEO) networks. Additionally, the initiative aims to facilitate the development of national and regional Tabletop Exercises and Simulations to ensure uninterrupted telecommunications and effective disaster response during emergencies. The overarching goal is to enhance regional resilience, ensuring robust, inclusive, and accessible communication systems for disaster-hit areas.
