This contribution provides an overview of the cybersecurity framework applicable to the telecommunications sector in Brazil, with particular emphasis on supply-chain security and cybersecurity requirements for telecommunications equipment. It presents the requirements applicable to suppliers of telecommunications products and equipment, including the independent audit framework established to assess compliance with supplier cybersecurity policies, as well as the cybersecurity requirements incorporated into the conformity-assessment process for telecommunications equipment. The contribution also highlights the development of a specialized laboratory ecosystem capable of performing cybersecurity testing and supporting the implementation of these requirements.
