The contribution acknowledges the importance of women in STEM fields and the significant value women from Europe region and beyond add to the ICT sector through their unique perspectives, expertise, and fresh ideas. It emphasizes the need to involve more skilled and talented women in ITU-D Study Groups' activities, with a strong focus on inclusiveness, and encourages their represen-tation in leadership roles. The document also presents the work undertaken by the Secretariat and Study Group members to support and advance gender equality and charts a way forward with pro-posals for continued progress through targeted actions to ensure women's active participation, reflecting the growing recognition of the benefits of diversity and the importance of inclusive lead-ership.
