Such active measures can help mitigate greenhouse gases, as well as improve public health and working
conditions, preserve biological ecosystems and diversity, extreme weather events and continue to
contribute to economic prosperity and growth. This report, therefore, takes a comprehensive approach
by covering the social impacts of climate change and related ICT-based responses, in addition to those
focusing on the reduction of greenhouse gas and carbon footprint impacts.
