Connecting cities and communities with the Sustainable Development Goals

With the increase in use of social media among the urban populations in Pakistan, the concept of online
services including banking is gaining momentum again.

Given Pakistan’s consistent efforts in the area, other developing countries in the South-Asian region should
take a leaf out of Pakistan’s book not only to endorse the ease of e-banking systems but also to ensure the
widespread adoption of such technologies across communities as envisioned by Sustainable Development
            Goal 8.
