Location-Based Services (LBS) is a core technology of Telematics industry, which searches for personal or
vehicle position by Global Positioning System (GPS) and mobile communications repeater. This information
is widely used for supporting emergency or rescue, traffic information and other services.
LBS can be used very effectively for the vehicle on the road. However, LBS may interfere with the growing of
Telematics industry for outflow and misusage of personal positioning information.
The Korean government has made a LBS's law for protection of privacy issue and this session will be announce
about influence of LBS's law for Telematics industry in Korea. |
