| Why |
The
importance of the AMERICAS TELECOM 2000 event, in terms of the business opportunities
that can be generated, cannot be overemphasized. Most of the Americas region is witnessing
impressive economic growth with telecommunication development being one of the benchmarks
of the resultant market growth. Argentina, for instance, had an installed base of nearly
seven million fixed lines and over two million cellular mobile subscribers by 1997. Mexico
had over nine million fixed lines installed, and close to two million cellular subscribers
had signed up for service. In Brazil, the
17 million lines installed by 1997 are forecast by the government to grow to more than 40
million lines by the year 2003 and by that date there should be over 25 million
mobile cellular subscribers in the worlds fifth most populous nation.
AMERICAS TELECOM 2000 will therefore be the essential rendez-vous for
anyone involved in the regions brisk telecommunication business markets. You should
not miss this opportunity. The TELECOM events
are the only ones which bring together not only the industrys CEOs, market experts
and engineers, but also its Ministers and other high level decision makers. TELECOM provides them with the opportunity to meet and
discuss the major issues which have a direct bearing on the development of the industry. |
